Learn about Priming: What is it and how it can change your morning everyday

Last year, I was reading a book called “You Suddenly lose everything” by Russel Brunson, which is about how to start from scratch, written by 30 successful entrepreneurs in a variety of niches.

The first writer, Trey Lewellen, started with his morning routine, and one of the first things he mentioned is “Priming exercise with Tony Robbins”.

Now to be fair, I already knew who Tony Robbins is, but had no idea what “Priming” was, which made me very curious about it and looked it up on YouTube.

The priming exercise looked like a recorded session from a growth conference, the first time I watched the video it was weird, and I did not understand what was happening.

However, thanks to Robert Kiyosaki’s book, which mentioned self development and how it is hard for someone that comes from a poor dad mindset to understand it, I decided to pay more attention to the video.

Soon, I realized it wasn’t about watching the video, but listening to it.

The priming exercise consist of the following steps:

1- The breathing exercise: Three ten sets of breathing.

2- The recall of three moments you are grateful for.

3- A prayer or blessing, which involves imagining an energy or light flowing throughout our bodies from the crown of our head to the centre of Earth and back, accompanied by deep breathing.

4- Think about three future goals and imagine they are happening, and they are done.

5- The last step involves combining all positive memories of joy, happiness and love from the past, present and future and think about them all and a rewiring the brain into a positive attitude towards all the previous situations that we’ve been through and feeling how achieving our goals feels.

Don’t be surprised if you cry at the end of the exercise, if you do it correctly 🙂

The great thing about priming is that after it is done, you will feel energized and ready to tackle your day with a smile.

Thanks, Tony, for this amazing exercise. You can watch the full video on Tony Robbins channel on YouTube:
